  • ISO9994: It's the International standard that establishes requirements for lighters to ensure their safety.
  • EN13869: The European Commission requires that:
    - Non existence of fantasy lighters
    - The lighters have to carry a child safety mechanism, except for those considerated as luxury or semi-luxury lighters. These should meet legal requirements and assurances by the provider to be exempted from having a child safety mechanism.
